Ritual- Eclose III (Full Moon)
CHAPTER III — ECLOSE (Full Moon)
Eclose is the chapter of arrival — of truth stepping into the room and asking you to meet it with open eyes. If EGG was the hush and INSTAR the effort, Eclose is where you witness what you have become, even if you’re still glistening and unsure in your new wings.
- Read once to feel the “temple” atmosphere.
- Choose one ritual path — Quick, Deep, or Craftmaster.
- Return later for journaling + Tarot when your heart has softened.
Prologue — The Temple Doors
The temple doors open when the Moon wears her whole face.
Tonight, the sky is a vaulted hall; the stars are candles in tall sconces. A hush crosses the grove as the Luna emerges—new as a name spoken aloud. In moth-lore, eclose is the moment the winged self steps from its chamber, wet and shining, into air. Truth arrives bedecked in light. Your work is to receive it with ceremony.
Moon & Moth Lore
Full Moon magic is revelation—the lantern held high. In the Luna’s life, eclosing is both vulnerability and coronation: wings unfurl in the open, soft as silk, then harden in moonlight. To work this phase is to let yourself be seen, honor the harvest, and bless the truths that stepped forward.
How to Know You’re in an “Eclose Phase”
- You feel something rising — a truth, a result, a feeling that wants witness.
- You want clarity or confirmation.
- You feel emotional, reflective, or “lit up.”
- You sense something has completed or reached a turning point.
- You’re ready to celebrate even small victories.
- You want to be seen, or you want to see clearly.
What ECLOSE Is For (Intentions)
Full Moon magic amplifies truth, beauty, and culmination. Eclose is not for planting seeds or structuring habits — it is for witnessing. This chapter shines when your intention involves:
- Revelation: “Show me what is real in this situation.”
- Recognition: seeing your progress or gifts clearly.
- Receiving: letting love, praise, or opportunity land.
- Celebration: honoring what you’ve survived or achieved.
- Crowning: embracing the identity you’ve grown into.
Eclose blesses the work you’ve been building. It is the “look how far I’ve come” moment — even if the steps were tiny.
Focus on illumination, gratitude, courage, clarity, or celebration. Eclose can stand alone as a rite of truth and beauty.
- ECLOSE — Full Moon pillar (100% beeswax)
- Scent notes: Jasmine • Rose • Soft Vanilla • Tobacco Vanille
- Botanicals on top: Jasmine (joy) • Roselle (heart-fire) • Yarrow (resolve)
- Crystals on top: Lapis Lazuli (truth) • Rose Quartz (love) • Garnet (vitality)
Why This Blend Crowns the Work
Jasmine opens joy and lunar sight; Roselle stokes heart-fire so celebration feels embodied; Yarrow gives resolve and boundary to hold bright truth. Lapis enthrones honesty; Rose Quartz softens the heart to receive; Garnet grounds vitality so illumination doesn’t burn you out. Jasmine-Rose with Vanilla + Tobacco Vanille sets a sacred, gilded atmosphere—temple sweetness with a velvet, smoky spine.
Common Eclose Mistakes
- Forcing clarity. Full Moon reveals; you don’t have to pry.
- Trying to fix everything at once. This is the phase for seeing, not solving.
- Judging revelations. Truth is a guest — receive before interpreting.
- Ignoring the body. Bright truth needs grounding to feel safe.
- Skipping celebration. Even small wins deserve ritual witness.
Safety for Herb / Crystal Toppings
If any piece drifts toward the flame: snuff, wait 1–2 minutes, and nudge it outward with a toothpick (or remove to a dish). Trim wick to ~¼″ before each light. Burn on a heat-safe plate. Never leave unattended.
Sonic Attunement (optional)
Set the chamber. Choose one, or keep temple silence.
- Lunar Ambient — gentle celestial pads
- Choral Atmosphere — luminous voices
- Nocturne Piano — reflective, ceremonial
Full Moon light heightens the limbic system — emotions sharpen, truth rises, intuition brightens, and the body feels everything at full volume. This is why revelations feel intense: the light touches every corner.
Eclose teaches you to meet illumination with reverence, grounding, and celebration.
- Mini Rite — for quick illumination + gratitude.
- Quick Path — for acknowledging truths or small victories.
- Deep Path — for emotional clarity or identity revelations.
- Craftmaster Path — for coronation, acceptance, or long-term truth work.
Mini Rite (Teaser)
List three wins (tiny counts). Light and whisper, “I allow good to arrive.” Fold wins beneath the plate.
🜂 Quick Path — Moonlit Courtyard (6–8 min)
Best for acknowledging progress or receiving small truths without overwhelm.
- Light the candle as if raising a lantern in a stone courtyard.
- Name three revelations since New Moon (let small count: “I kept a promise,” “I rested,” “I told the truth”).
- Herb gaze: Jasmine—joy opens; Roselle—courage of the heart; Yarrow—resolve to hold the light.
- Stone touch: Lapis—“truth sits on the throne”; Rose Quartz—“I receive with softness”; Garnet—“my body is allowed to celebrate.”
- Close: bow your head; whisper: “What arrives is blessed.” Snuff.
🜁 Deep Path — The Temple of Illumination (15–30+ min)
Choose this when you want clarity, emotional honesty, or a gentle rite of self-witnessing.
Full Moon is initiation by sight: to see clearly and be seen kindly.
- Lay the court: Candle center; small bowl of water to the west (reflection); pinch of salt to the east (clarity). Three flower petals (or drawn circles) as witnesses.
- Write your coronation line (present tense): “I am the one who ______ in full light.” Keep it one sentence.
- Light and read the line aloud once—steady, not loud.
- Three petitions: touch Lapis—“remove the veil I no longer need”; touch Rose Quartz—“soften the receiving”; touch Garnet—“anchor this in my body.”
- Water omen: hold the bowl near the flame and watch the reflection. Still surface = clarity. Trembling = excitement/overwhelm—slow your breath (in 4, out 6) for three rounds.
- Seal: touch salt to your line; circle the page once with the candle (safe distance) and whisper: “Seen and safe.”
- Close: Snuff. Fold the page and place beneath the plate until Waning Half (Return).
🜃 Craftmaster Path — The Coronation of Sight (30–45+ min)
For seasoned witches or those ready to crown a truth with ceremony and long-term commitment.
For seasoned witches who want a rite with feedback and omens.
- Consecrate the space: mark a soft circle with three points (north—Lapis, east—Rose Quartz, south—Garnet). Candle at center.
- Write two lines: Illumination line (the truth you will hold in public light) + Receiving line (the good you accept without apology).
- Wing-sigil: remove vowels & duplicates from both lines; fuse letters into a simple “wing” sigil above the lines.
- Censing by scent: waft the candle’s aroma toward the paper three times. Speak: “Jasmine, open; Rose, soften; Vanilla & Tobacco, enthrone.”
- Mirror-gaze (if on hand): reflect the flame onto the sigil (or watch the shine on ink). Omen—bright steady gleam = ready; flicker = add support; dim = rest first.
- Wax seal of arrival (the “full seal”): snuff for safety, place one safe drip of wax on the wing-sigil. Old court-lore says the Full Moon “appoints” what light-born wax anoints.
- Read the seal: coin-round smooth → ripe truth → share one step publicly; oval ridge → boundary needed → speak to a chosen person first; star-edged spill → celebratory momentum → mark a feast/reward.
- Promise of the Court: speak one precise, kind action within 48 hours (thank-you note, publish, finish a page, schedule rest). Place Garnet over the promise till morning.
Tarot / Oracle — Throne of Three
Warm the deck near the candle. Whisper: “Show me what the light reveals, how I may receive it, and how to honor it.”
- Illumination — what wants to be seen. Ex: The Sun → name success plainly; The Moon → name mystery without forcing clarity.
- Receiving — how to let it in. Ex: 6 of Pentacles → accept help; Queen of Cups → soften & rest.
- Celebration — how to honor it. Ex: 4 of Wands → share; Knight of Pentacles → one grounded next step.
Read like a priestess: one symbol per card; one sentence linking all three; one visible, kind act within 48 hours.
Journal & Omens (Full Moon Field Notes)
Eclose journaling is about witnessing. Truth has stepped forward; your role is to greet it with ink. You are not analyzing — you are honoring.
- Date + Full Moon: astrologically or inner Full Moon.
- What has risen: a truth, a feeling, a result, a need.
- How your body feels: bright, tender, overwhelmed, excited, cracked-open.
- What you’re ready to receive: support, clarity, praise, closure.
Guided Prompts
- What truth has stepped forward tonight?
- What am I proud of, even if small?
- What beauty or blessing have I been resisting?
- What wants to be shared, and with whom?
- What is complete? What can be released in RETURN?
Write only one line: “Tonight, I allow myself to be seen.”
Flame & Wax Omens
- Bright, tall steady flame → readiness; share one truth publicly.
- Gentle halo/glow on herbs → love present; lean into gratitude and soft receiving.
- Occasional crackle → excitement; ground with slow breath & water sips.
- Herbs drifting outward → support will arrive from others; say yes to help.
- Wax pooling symmetrically → balanced illumination; schedule a celebratory act.
- Wax leaning / tunneling → too much exposure; scale back, add boundary (Yarrow).
“May the truths that rise tonight crown you gently.”
Moon Timing
- Best: Full Moon night + 1–2 days after.
- Bridge: carry your coronation line into RETURN (Waning) to refine and release what’s complete.
Pillar Care + Safety
- First burn: 2–3 hours to set the memory ring; leave a ~¼″ mantle.
- Trim wick to ¼″ before each light; if the flame gets tall/sooty, snuff, trim, relight.
- Herbs & crystals sit on top. If any piece leans inward: snuff, wait 1–2 minutes, nudge outward or remove to a dish.
- Heat-safe plate; away from drafts, pets, curtains; never unattended. Do not ingest botanicals.
- Spiritual use is supportive/educational; not a substitute for medical or therapeutic care.
